Bismillah
Ask
yourself.
Are you a
Muslim just because you are born and brought up in a Muslim family?
Do you
really believe that Allah created you and the Quran is His speech?
Most of you
might say “yes” to the above questions. Let’s take a test
Example 1
You have a
job and you are making a living out of it. If someone offers you to pay double
or triple for the same job if you do it in his company, will you go?
Surely 99% of you will do.
Allah offers
you a great reward for offering the Salah in masjid in time. Still you pray
from your home on your time. You find excuses to hold your Salah until the last
moment before the next Athan.
Allah
commands not just to do the prayer but to establish the prayer (Akeemu
Salah), which means at the right time in the masjid whenever is possible.
The Prophet
(PBUH) said, “If people knew the reward in praying Fajr and Isha in
congregation, they would go to the mosque even if they had to crawl.” [Bukhari
& Muslim]
If someone
was there in the masjid giving just $100 for the first row in every Salah, you
will make sure you are there. The whole world and everything in it is not worth
a mosquito’s wing in the eyes of Allah. Yet He says what He prepared for us is
a great reward. Do you really believe?

Example 2
When you are
sick and if the doctor advise you to stay away from this and that, immediately
you stay away from those. You do because you believe that “Doctor knows” when
you don’t know.
But when
Allah tell you not to spoil yourself with intoxicants, overeating, interest,
music, entertainment, gazing at opposite gender and whatever that is
prohibited.
You came
with a thousand excuses to justify what you do. “Beer keeps me warm; music is
so soothing; what’s wrong with interest; etc...
If you had
believed in Allah at least to the extent you believe in a doctor, you won’t ask
these questions.
If Quran doesn’t
soothes your heart, music is not going to be; and if the love for Allah doesn’t
keep you warm, beer is not going to be; if you need interest to fulfill your
needs, know that Allah is the provider.
Doesn’t
the one who created not know (about you), while He is the Subtle, and Fully Aware
(of everything in finest detail) (67:14)
Indeed He
knows more than you know yourselves. Do you really believe?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Example 3
Suppose you
want to really marry someone of different national. You got married despite of
the language barrier. Chances are you will learn their language for better
understanding of each other. At least you will use a translator to understand a
letter/message they send. For your ease you will learn the language eventually.
Or in the
other hand, if you have migrated for a job and the company you are employed
needs a specific language, you will learn it any cost if the package is goodJ.
Still most
of you aren’t even ready to read and understand your own user manual – The
Quran.
You spend
years and years learning hundreds of books for a good career and wealth. You
say learning Quran is difficult. How dare you can say something like that while
Allah says:
Indeed We
have made the Quran easy to remember and understand, but is there anyone who
would pay attention? (54:17)
Some read,
but they aren’t ready to ponder on it, and some ponder but they aren’t ready to
act upon what they have learnt.
Quran should
be read, understood, practiced and taught. These are the rights of the Quran.
Allah had
made it easy, but you says it’s hard. Do you really believe?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When you
analyze yourself with the above 3 examples, unfortunately most of you will have
an answer “No” to those questions.
Actually
people really don’t believe in Allah as they claim. This is the root of every problems
and committing sins. If they really believe they can see that Allah is really
near. They will be ready to do anything for Allah without thinking about the
after effect.
Because they
know that- Verily Allah is capable of anything and whatever in the heavens and
earth is under His control. Not a single breath is taken without his knowledge.
And He lives in their hearts.
If we can
develop such attitude towards Allah then everything will follow behind. We will
have success in Dunya and Akhira followed by the pleasure of Allah.
May Allah
guide us to the straight path.
